Belgium's golden generation reached the peak of their powers in the late 2010s, ranking as the FIFA world's number one team from 2015 to 2022. Their best World Cup result came at Russia 2018, where they finished third. The squad has featured world-class players including Eden Hazard, Kevin De Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku, and Thibaut Courtois.
