The Egypt national football team, the Pharaohs, is governed by the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) and competes in CAF. The team plays home matches at Cairo International Stadium and wears red and white.

Egypt is the most successful nation in Africa Cup of Nations history, having won the tournament a record seven times (1957, 1959, 1986, 1998, 2006, 2008, and 2010). The Pharaohs have appeared at three FIFA World Cups: 1934, 1990, and 2018. Mohamed Salah, one of the world's leading forwards, has been the team's talismanic figure since 2011.
