Scotland

The Scotland national football team is governed by the Scottish Football Association (SFA) and competes in UEFA. The team plays home matches at Hampden Park in Glasgow and wears dark blue. Scotland and England played the world's first-ever international football match in 1872.

Scotland qualified for eight FIFA World Cups between 1954 and 1998 but was eliminated in the group stage on each occasion without conceding the worst goal difference. Since 1998, Scotland has not qualified for a World Cup but has appeared at UEFA Euro 2020 (played in 2021) and Euro 2024. Players such as Denis Law, Kenny Dalglish, and more recently Andy Robertson and Scott McTominay have represented the nation.
